01

Context

The problem to solve

DiamondTrac360 is a subscription vehicle tracking service for UK transport and fleet operators. Customers judge it against much larger tracking providers, so the product has to be dependable enough to sell and to keep improving as customers, vehicles and compliance requirements change.

02

Role

How Software Heads contributed

Software Heads built the product and continues to develop, maintain and support it. Support enquiries route through Software Heads, so responsibility for keeping the service running sits with the people who built it.

03

Work completed

What the delivery covered

  • A web platform for real-time vehicle tracking on interactive maps.
  • iOS and Android applications for monitoring away from the office.
  • Journey recording with searchable trip history and reporting.
  • Driver behaviour monitoring for safety and compliance.
  • Zone overlays and custom locations for operational planning.
  • Continuing development, maintenance and customer support.

04

Outcome

What the work made possible

DiamondTrac360 serves fleet operators across the UK as a subscribed commercial service. Development and support continue as the customer base, vehicle hardware and compliance requirements change.

Technical note

The delivery context.

The service combines live vehicle telemetry, map presentation, journey storage and reporting across web and mobile clients. Running it as a commercial subscription means reliability, data volume and support commitments matter as much as features.
