01

Context

The problem to solve

Diamond H Lifting Equipment sells, inspects, repairs and hires lifting equipment across the UK. Its established internal system was becoming difficult to support, creating operational risk and limiting further change.

02

Role

How Software Heads contributed

Software Heads began by examining how the company worked and documenting the requirements for a replacement. The resulting delivery connected office workflows with work carried out by the mobile team.

03

Work completed

What the delivery covered

  • Discovery and operational requirements analysis.
  • A web portal covering product sales, stock and reporting workflows.
  • iOS and Android applications for field-based work.
  • Connected information across office and mobile activity.
  • Business reporting and operational analytics.

04

Outcome

What the work made possible

The new system replaced the ageing internal application with a connected platform for core office and field workflows. It reduced reliance on unsupported software and made operational information available across the business.

Technical note

The delivery context.

The solution combined a browser-based operational portal with native mobile workflows for field staff. Data and process design had to support stock, inspection activity, accounting-related work and reporting as one connected system.
